Homemade Strawberry Facial Mask
- 4 to 5 very ripe, medium size strawberries
- 2 teaspoons heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon honey
Rinse the strawberries and dry with a clean cloth or paper towel. In a small bowl, mash fruit with a fork. Add cream and honey, mixing well. Apply immediately and leave on for 20 minutes. Rinse off with lots of warm water.
Strawberry Ice Cream in a Bag
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 cup milk, cream, or half and half
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (or other flavoring)
1/2 cup fresh or frozen, sliced strawberries
You will also need:
6 tablespoons salt (Ordinary table salt will work, but salt that has larger crystals, such as kosher salt or rock salt work better)
Ice to fill a gallon-sized bag halfway
1 pint-size plastic zipper storage bag
1 gallon-size plastic zipper storage bag
Put all the ice cream ingredients in the pint bag and zip it shut, forcing out most of the air.
Put the ice in the gallon bag, and sprinkle in the salt.
Put the small bag in the larger one, and nestle it in so it is surrounded by ice.
Zipper the bag shut and shake it until ice cream thickens, about 5-8 minutes.
Makes two servings.
