If you wanted some U.S. Open apparel, you can get a second chance – at half price.
The United States Golf Association announced Sunday that all remaining inventory at the Main Merchandise Pavilion at Pinehurst Resort & Country Club will be on sale at 50 percent off on Monday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
Logoed apparel, headwear, shirts, towels and many other items will be included in the sale.
Tickets or credentials will not be required to enter the pavilion. Parking is free.
Shoppers who will be using GPS devices are asked to set their destination as the intersection of Monticello Drive and Blake Boulevard in Pinehurst.
The massive merchandise tent is right at the entrance to the course, but prices weren’t cheap throughout the tournament. Caps, for example, ran $27 to $30.
But there was still a massive selection Saturday afternoon during the U.S. Women’s Open, and the USGA has typically marked down prices after the tournaments are over.
Pinehurst is about 65 miles from Raleigh.
