Luann and George Alonso were at home in Coral Gables, Fla., recently when they heard a knock on the door.
But the knock was not a person. Instead, right outside their home was a nine-foot alligator. They called the police, who then called a trapper to take the animal away.
The Alonso’s home backs up to a canal, and the gator could have been out for a late-night stroll
y, they did not take their elderly dog out that night for a late-night stroll as they often do.
“I looked out the window, and I couldn’t see anything,” George Alonso said. “As soon as I turned the light on, I saw that big gator right there right in front of the door, the tail was facing the front window, his body was against the door so we couldn’t get out. So at that time we called the police to inform them we had a gator at the front door.”
“I thought it was nuts!” said Luann Alonso. “I couldn’t believe it!”
