Durham, charges, attempted murder
Andrew Holman is arrested on charges of attempted murder.

A man has been arrested and charged with two counts of attempted murder after two people were injured in a shooting early Wednesday morning along Holloway Street in Durham.

Andrew Demar Holman, 31, of Holloway Street faces two counts of attempted murder, one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and one count of discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle.

The shootings, which investigators do not believe were random, were reported around 3:30 a.m. in the 700 block of Holloway Street.

The victims drove to Owen Street to report the incident. They were then taken to the hospital, but their conditions were not known.

Police said Holloway Street between Elizabeth Street and Alston Avenue were closed as a result of the investigation. Parts of Eva and Elm streets were also closed.

Holman is being held on a $2 million bond.
