The driver of a red SUV has been cited for running a red light following an accident at the corner of Harrison Ave. and Dynasty Dr. in Cary Friday at about 9:15 a.m.
The SUV, traveling toward I-40 on Harrison Ave., struck a blue Subaru, which was crossing from West Dynasty to East Dynasty. The driver of the SUV climbed out of the passenger window as the vehicle came to rest on its left side. The Subaru crashed into a stone wall. That driver emerged dazed and bleeding from the face and forehead.
Onlookers called 9-1-1 and both drivers were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Captain Don Hamilton of the Cary police said.
Names of the drivers have not been released.
