A massive basking shark was spotted by state police off the Massachusetts coast Saturday.
The shark is estimated to be 25-feet long and was just 200 yards from shore near Cape Cod.
Basking sharks pose no threat to humans as they eat plankton. Only two other sharks are known to eat plankton.
They swim slowly at the surface in pairs and sometimes with up to as many as 100 other basking sharks, according to the Florida Museum of Natural History.
The basking shark lives in waters across the globe including the Atlantic coast of North America.
