Fayetteville Police identify car in hit-and-run, seek driver

Officers with the Fayetteville Police Department have identified the vehicle in a Friday hit-and-run as a 2015 silver or light gray Ford Fusion and are seeking the public’s assistance with identifying the driver.

The vehicle should have front end damage and may also have damage to the windshield.

The victim, 29-year-old Curtis Durvell Wright, has been transported to UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill where he is listed in serious condition.

Anyone with information concerning the hit and run is asked to contact officers with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Traffic Unit at (910) 433-1080 or Crimestoppers at (910) 483-TIPS (8477).

The accident happened Friday at approximately 9:18 p.m., when officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to the area of Ruby Road near Garnett Drive. Wright was struck while standing on Ruby Road by a silver Ford sedan. The driver of the Ford left the scene before checking on the condition of Wright.
