The two lemur babies were named after the most famous royal lemur, King Julien, the star of the movie Madagascar and the Netlflix series “All Hail King Julien.” The staff of the Duke Lemur Center is thrilled about the birth of their twin lemur babies and is looking forward to their newest partnership with the company, Dreamworks. “We’re really excited to have this collaboration with the series ‘All Hail King Julien.’ King Julien is going to be here at the Lemur Center on June 20 for our Lemurpalooza Adopt-A-Lemur event. So we’re really excited to be partnering with such a nationally known organization and brand,” said Chris Smith, education specialist with the Duke Lemur Center. An official naming ceremony for Princess Julien and Princess Julien will be held at the Duke Lemur Center on June 20. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet the lemurs in the Adopt-A-Lemur program as well as the two new princesses and King Julien, himself. Reservations are necessary to attend Lemurpalooza and can be made by calling (919) 401-7252.
