RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – Four people were charged Wednesday afternoon with the deadly weekend shooting of an 18-year-old man near NC State University, police said.
Raleigh Police Department homicide detectives said just before 5 p.m. it have obtained arrest warrants in connection with the Saturday night shooting of Irvin Adan Gonzalez-Martinez on Collegeview Avenue.
Two of the men are also charged with shooting a man, who was hit, and at another teen, who was not hit, police said.
Enrique Samuel Valenzuela, 22, and Louis Enrique Mondragon, 20, are each charged with one count of murder in connection with the death of 18-year-old Gonzalez-Martinez and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, police said.
One of each suspect’s assault charges relates to the shooting of Daniel Deleon Pittman, 23, who was hurt, while the second count concerns shots fired at Jose Valdovinos during the incident, police said.
Leonardo Steven Calvillo, 20, and Maria Guadalupe Nambo, 21, were each charged with one count of accessory after the fact to murder.
Both Calvillo and Nambo were also charged with two drug-related violations that resulted from the homicide investigation, police said.
According to Raleigh police, the shooting occurred just before 11 p.m. at in the 1400 block of Collegeview Avenue. The suspects were last seen in a red four-door sedan heading toward campus, according to the safety alert.
Valdovinos, age 16, was not struck by gunfire and fled the scene before police arrived.
Valenzuela and Mondragon are in custody and are being transported to the Wake County Detention Center.
