Fayetteville PD ask for public’s help in finding armed robbery suspect

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) – Fayetteville police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man suspected of committing three armed robberies of convenience stores just before dawn along major roads in the city.

On June 5 at approximately 4:12 a.m., a suspect entered the Wilco-Hess located at 4560 Raeford Road, approached the clerk and demanded money from the register.

During the robbery, the suspect kept his hand inside of a coat pocket suggesting that he was armed with a gun.

The suspect was described as wearing a white t-shirt, puffy black jacket, black shorts and work boots. The suspect was also wearing a blue toboggan and had a bandana covering his face. The man took the money and fled the scene.

On Friday at approximately 4:35 a.m., a suspect entered the Kangaroo convenience store located at 1300 Hope Mills Road, approached the clerk and demanded money from the register.

During the robbery, the suspect kept his hand inside of a coat pocket suggesting that he was armed with a gun.

The suspect fit the same description as the man who robbed the Wilco-Hess a week earlier.  The man took money and Newport cigarettes from the business before fleeing on foot in an unknown direction of travel.

At approximately 4:44 a.m. Saturday morning, a suspect entered the Kangaroo convenience store located at 3102 Bragg Boulevard, approached the clerk and demanded money from the register.

The man kept his hand inside of a coat pocket and matched the same description as the man involved in the two previous armed robberies.

Just as in the robbery one day earlier, the suspect took money and Newport cigarettes from the before fleeing on foot in an unknown direction of travel.

Police have released surveillance photos showing the man suspected of committing the three armed robberies.
