A man found dead in a creek in Clayton earlier this month has been identified, officials say.

Also, authorities say that there was no foul play in the man’s death.

Johnson was reported missing to the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office on May 7 by his grandfather, who Johnson lived with at 9700 Cleveland Road in Clayton, Beard said.

“Johnson was known to frequent the Shotwell Road/Clayton Corners Shopping Center area, near where he was found,” Beard said in a press release.
