RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – Rev. William Barber was arrested Wednesday as the Moral Monday protests continued at the North Carolina General Assembly.
Barber, the state NAACP president, and others were protesting the Voter ID bill outside the North Carolina House. The protests went on for about 45 minutes, with protesters singing and chanting, before Capitol Police began making arrests.
WNCN saw about half a dozen people get arrested.
The protesters were arrested without incident for disturbing the peace.
