Inmate accused of exposing himself to detention officers

CARTHAGE, N.C. (AP) – Officials say a Moore County man already in jail is facing indecent exposure charges.

The Fayetteville Observer reports 37-year-old Tarus Flowers received two counts of indecent exposure Thursday. Sheriff Neil Godfrey says Flowers was at the Moore County Detention Center when he intentionally exposed himself to two detention officers while they were conducting rounds in the house unit.

Court records show Flowers is currently facing a charge of communicating threats in a different case and will appear in court on July 10. He will face the indecent exposure charges on July 14.

Flowers was previously charged with indecent exposure in 2011.
