1 shot by ‘known suspect’ in Fayetteville confrontation

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) – A man is in serious condition after he was shot during a confrontation Thursday in the Arran Lakes subdivision.

Police said the victim was with two women in a vehicle when they were followed by a known suspect onto Tillman Court.

When victim got out of the vehicle to confront the suspect, the suspect then pulled out a gun and shot the victim.

After 911 was called, the victim was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center where he is listed in serious condition.

The suspect left the scene in a light blue Volvo. A compact white vehicle could have been with the suspect vehicle, police said.

No arrests have been made.
