2 NC teens die in car-truck collision in Lexington

LEXINGTON, N.C. (AP) – Authorities say two teens have died in a wreck on Interstate 85 Business in Lexington.

Police said the wreck Thursday morning also injured the driver of the car, the mother of one of the teens.

Police said 15-year-old Alexis Reep of Lexington and 15-year-old Dakota Mills of Davidson County died at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

Alexis’ mother, 42-yea-rold Dawn Bruff, was being treated at the hospital.

The driver of the truck, 39-year-old Pernell Pope, of Waverly, Pennsylvania, was not hurt.
