FAYETTEVILLE, NC (WNCN) — When some Fayetteville students return to school, they’ll have a brand new computer lab. New Life Christian Academy received 50 laptop computers earlier Tuesday.

They’re all courtesy of Fort Bragg’s First Sustainment Command Local Outreach Program.

New Life Christian Academy has about 75 students enrolled and prior to today, they only had five computers.

Parnell Miles, New Life Christian Academy Principal said “some of the students had assignments at home, some of them didn’t have access to computers so now they’ll be able to do a lot of their assignments right here at school during the day.”

The computers were donated through the Department of Defense’s Computer for Learning Program.

Program organizers say New Life Christian Academy is the only school in North Carolina to sign up for the program so far.
