2 children killed, 6 injured in Myrtle Beach crash


MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WNCN) – Two children were killed and several others were injured in a vehicle crash on 17 Business in Myrtle Beach Tuesday night.

Horry County Coroner, Robert Edge, told WBTW that the two children who were killed in the crash were 12 and 13 years old. WMBF said the two children were female. WMBF reported that six people were hospitalized.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol said the crash happened around 8 p.m. Tuesday.

SCHP said three vehicles were involved in the crash. According to troopers, the driver of a Dodge mini-van attempted to turn into a private driveway and was struck by a Mercedes car, WBTW reported.

The mini-van then struck a parked vehicle in a parking lot. Three people in the mini-van and the driver of the Mercedes were taken to Grand Strand Regional Hospital with injuries, WBTW reported.
