Suspect arrested in Fayetteville home invasion turned deadly

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) – A Fayetteville man has been arrested in connection with a June 23 home invasion that let one dead.

Raymond Lane Bradley, of 606 McLamb Drive in Fayetteville, was arrested in connection with the death of Roderick Scott.

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office said Bradley and two other men broke into Scott’s home and held him and his girlfriend captive while they robbed the residence.

Scott was shot and killed during the robbery.

Bradley has been charged with first-degree murder, first-degree kidnapping and conspiracy to commit robbery.

He is being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center with no bond for the murder charge. He is held under $525,000 for other charges.
