GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WNCN) – The man accused of killing a Wayne Community College employee in April was expected to go before a judge Wednesday afternoon, court documents showed.
Kenneth Stancil III is accused of killing Ron Lane at a campus building at Wayne Community College in April.
Stancil’s attorney appeared in court to represent the suspect.
Stancil claimed that Lane made sexual advances toward his younger brother, but Stancil’s mother said her son’s comments were unsubstantiated. Debbie Stancil said the relative her son mentioned had never met Lane.
Officers arrested Stancil in Daytona Beach, Florida, and returned him back to North Carolina a few days later.
