Lumberton PD still search for answers in 2014 nightclub shooting

Samuel Lewis of Elizabethtown was shot and killed at a Lumberton nightclub in May 2014.

LUMBERTON, N.C. (WBTW) – Lumberton police investigators are still searching for answers more than a year after a shooting inside a nightclub killed one man and wounded another.

It happened May 31, 2014. Investigators say after 2:00 a.m., a fight led to gunshots inside Kalypzo Club at 3551 Lackey Street near Exit 20 on Interstate 95.

Samuel Lewis, 29, of Elizabethtown died, and 26-year-old Dexter Brooks of Bladenboro was wounded that night.

More than a year later, officers have no leads on what happened and are asking for anyone who may know something to come forward.
