Motorcyclist dies after plowing into Fayetteville building

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) – Fayetteville police said a motorcyclist died after he lost control of his bike and plowed into a building on Hope Mills Road Wednesday morning.

Justin Mackerricher Roberts, 29, of the 3600 block of Hanover Drive, Hope Mills, was traveling on Hope Mills Road towards Raeford Road around 9:45 a.m. when he lost control and ran into the building housing Flooring America at 402 Hope Mills Road.

Roberts was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center for treatment of severe and life threatening injuries.

He was later pronounced dead, officials confirmed.

All lanes of Hope Mills Road between Sequoia Road and Walnut Drive Road were closed while authorities investigate the incident.
