Police: Teen boy found shot to death in downtown Raleigh

RALEIGH, N.C (WNCN) – Raleigh police are investigating the shooting death of a 13-year-old boy found dead in a car at the intersection of E. Jones Street and N. State Street in downtown Raleigh Friday night.

Police responded to the intersection shortly before 9:40 p.m. and upon arrival, found the teen dead in a vehicle at the intersection.

Raleigh police confirmed Keyshawn Tyrell Gregory of Raleigh was killed in the incident.

Authorities said the boy was actually shot about one mile away in the 1400 block of Beauty Avenue.

Gregory was transported by private vehicle to the intersection where he was found dead.
