FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) – A Fayetteville man accused of sexually assaulting a woman was arrested Saturday on multiple sex offense charges.
Police responded to a home in the 1600 block of Tysor Drive just before 7:30 a.m. Saturday after getting a report of a disturbance at the home.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a woman had been sexually assaulted by a man known to her and that the suspect had fled the area, police said.
The suspect’s identity was confirmed and warrants were issued for his arrest.
Dominic Cordale Tearry, 30, was arrested at his residence without incident.
Tearry was charged with first-degree kidnapping, attempted first-degree rape, attempted first-degree sex offense, four counts of first-degree sex offense, felony strangulation, and assault on a female.
Tearry is being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $700,000 secured bond.
