Fayetteville suspect destroys electronic monitoring device, flees

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) – The Fayetteville Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a 20-year-old man who it said destroyed his electronic monitoring device.

Trae Omar Soderberg was being monitored for breaking and entering offenses.

Police said he should be considered dangerous and could be in need of prescribed medication.

He is known to hang out in the area of Fontana Street near downtown Fayetteville and the Yadkin Road corridor.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Trae Soderberg is asked to call 911 or Crimestoppers at (910) 483-TIPS (8477).
