4 charged in connection with Craigslist armed robbery near Apex HS

APEX, N.C. (WNCN) – The Apex Police Department has arrested four people after they says they robbed someone answering a Craigslist advertisement.

Police responded to an armed robbery at the Kangaroo Gas Station located at 1410 W. Williams St. around 3:17 p.m. Tuesday.

The victim was meeting someone to buy several phones from a Craigslist ad when the victim was robbed at gunpoint. The suspects took $2,600.

The incident prompted a brief lockdown at Apex High School.

Police confirmed the arrests of four suspects in the case Wednesday morning, including a 16-year-old.

The following suspects have been charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit armed robbery:

• Safari Malik Greene, 16, of Wendell
• Bryan Elliot Beatty, 24, of Raleigh
• Javon Tyrell Williams, 25, of Raleigh
• Jordan Anthony Gray, 20, of Wendell
