Durham Police investigate homicide after man found dead in street

DURHAM, NC (WNCN) — Durham police are investigating a deadly shooting that happened Tuesday night near the intersection of Hanover Street and Gray Avenue.

Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at 7:24 p.m.

“When they arrived, they found an adult male lying in the street,” said Kammie Michael, Durham’s Public Information Officer.  “The male had been shot and was pronounced dead at the scene,” Michael added.

No charges have been filed. No further information is available at this time, Durham Police said in a press release.
