RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – All lanes of Interstate-40 East near Rock Quarry Road in Raleigh are back open following an accident early Wednesday morning.
Police shut down the eastbound lanes to traffic after an accident around 3:30 a.m. involving two trucks.
No injuries were reported.
Crews on scene are working to remove diesel fuel from one of the trucks in order to move it safely.
It is not clear if the trucks were involved in Fortify Project construction in that area.
