RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – Head football coach Michael Morand of Saint Augustine’s University has been placed on administrative leave without pay for two weeks effective immediately, St. Augustine’s athletics director George Williams said Wednesday.

Further action may be taken after an internal investigation, the school said.

St. Aug’s will announce an interim head coach Thursday. The school did not say why Morand is being disciplined.

St. Aug’s plays Saturday against Elizabeth City State at Sanderson High School’s Gregson Stadium in Raleigh. The game is at 1 p.m.

St. Aug’s is off to an 0-2 start this season.
