Navassa Fire Chief Donny Williams said two firefighters were taken to New Hanover Regional Medical Center to be treated for injuries.

Scott Garner, Brunswick County Emergency Services Director, said the fire started in the garage and spread to the living area. The cause of the fire remains unknown. Foul-play is not suspected.
