Bond set at $750,000 for man charged in Durham drive-by shooting

DURHAM, NC (WNCN) — Durham police say they have arrested a man who was wanted for a drive-by shooting that happened last month.

Police were searching for a 22-year-old man who was wanted in connection with the Aug. 15 shooting on Fairview Street.

Daquan “Quan” Lamontae Lewis was sought on charges of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and felony conspiracy.

Durham police said a 35-year-old man was shot in the leg around 3:30 p.m. Aug. 15 in the 1000 block of Fairview Street.

The shots were fired from white car.

Lewis was placed in Durham County Jail under a $750,000 bond, Durham Police said.
