More than 380 Fort Bragg paratroopers to return home

FORT BRAGG, N.C. – Hundreds of Fort Bragg paratroopers assigned to the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division are scheduled to return home Monday after a nine-month deployment in Southeast Asia.

More than 380 paratroopers and their families are scheduled to be reunited at Green Ramp on Pope Army Airfield, Fort Bragg officials said in a press release. The brigade colors will be uncased, symbolizing the unit’s return from combat and a ceremony will be held to welcome the returning Paratroopers.

The brigade served on multiple Advise and Assist Teams and helped train more than 12,400 Iraqi Security Forces while in Southeast Asia.
