Reward offered in Durham man’s murder

Erick Valencia-Diaz was murdered Sunday morning.

DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) – A reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest in the fatal shooting of a Durham man Sunday morning.

Officers responded to a shooting call on Braxton Street at 2:21 a.m. on Sunday, Sept.20.

When they arrived, they found Erick Valencia-Diaz, 24, of Durham, lying in the street. He was taken to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Police said the shooting did not appear to be random and no charges have been filed.
