12-year-old girl arrested in Goldsboro bomb threat hoax

GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WNCN) – Goldsboro police said a juvenile emailed in a hoax bomb threat to Meadow Lane Elementary School Friday afternoon.

The school received the email around 2 p.m. and immediately began to evacuate the school, police said.

Goldsboro police responded to the call and began to investigate.

A suspect was identified and just after 3 p.m. and said the email was a hoax sent by a juvenile.

The juvenile, a 12-year-old female, was arrested and charged with one felony count making a false bomb report as to a public building.

The juvenile was released to the custody of her parents.
