ECU alum Josh Creel ’11 popped the question to his girlfriend (now fiancée) Amy Smith ’14 just before the ECU Virginia Tech kickoff Saturday.

Amy said “yes” and the couple embraced for a photo among the crowd of ECU fans.

Amy says the couple connected through mutual friends and started dating in August 2014.

Josh works as the sports turf grass assistant manager for ECU and is the business owner of Fin n Feather Creations.

Amy is a recreational therapist at Caswell Development Center in Kinston. The couple hails from Grifton and Winterville, respectively.

Amy says they plan on having a summer 2016 wedding.
