Teen sought for questioning after man shot several times at Burger King, Fayetteville Police say

FAYETTEVILLE, NC (WNCN) — A teenager is being sought as a “person of interest” after a man was shot several times near a fast-food restaurant in Fayetteville on Saturday night, police say.

On Saturday at approximately 10:07 p.m., officers with the Fayetteville Police Department were dispatched to the 300 block of Eastern Boulevard in reference to a report of shots fired.

The initial investigation revealed that Antonio Lavon Campbell, Jr., age 22, of the 4200 block of Dowfield Drive was found lying on the ground suffering from several gunshot wounds, Fayetteville Police said.

Campbell was near the Burger King located at 344 Eastern Boulevard.

Campbell was transported by ambulance to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center where he is currently listed in critical condition.

Detectives with the FPD’s Aggravated Assault Unit have identified a person of interest in connection with the shooting.

Lamarious Ja Ron Brown, age 18, of the 1100 block of Southern Avenue “is currently being sought after for questioning only in reference to this shooting,” police said.
