88-year-old man missing from Harnett Co. found safe

COATS, N.C. (WNCN) – An 88-year-old man missing since Sept. 28 was found safe Wednesday evening, authorities said.

The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons issued a Silver Alert for Lloyd Hall Sept. 28.

Lloyd Hall was last seen Sunday evening at 196 Live Oak Road in Coats. Authorities said Hall is a World War II veteran and is legal blind.

He was located in the woods behind his home in Coats.

Hall’s daughter said she first felt “disbelief” when authorities said her father was found safe.

“Then they faxed us a picture of him standing up, complaining about his hip,” Judy Bubanks said.

Hall will now be taken to the hospital to checked out.
