WENDELL, N.C. (WNCN)- A woman has been charged in connection with a bus crash in Wendell after troopers say she sideswiped the bus on U.S. 64 Business Wednesday morning.
At around 10 a.m. Wednesday, Highway Patrol responded to the bus crash. Investigators said a 2005 Toyota Corolla was traveling south when it crossed the center line, sideswiping the school bus.
No children were on the bus at the time of the crash, Highway Patrol said.
The driver of the Toyota was identified as Kathleen Garner, 22, of Raleigh. She was taken to WakeMed with non-life threatening injuries, Highway Patrol confirmed.
The bus driver, Sharlena Height, 42, of Raleigh, was not injured in the crash.
Garner will be charged with traveling left of center.
