Panther’s go 4-0, handing Tampa Bay a 37-23 loss

TAMPA BAY, FL (WNCN) — The Carolina Panthers moved to 4-0 for the first time since their Super Bowl run in 2003, as they handily defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-3) on the road.

Tampa Bay has lost 10-straight at home, but had a chance to move to 2-0 in the division and .500 overall for the first time since 2012.

Now Tampa is 0-11 at home after the 37-23 loss on Sunday against Carolina.  Turnovers plagued the Bucs as they had 5, including an interception that the Panthers ran back for a TD.

Also, there was another wild play this week for the Panthers.

In the 3rd quarter with the Panther’s up 17-10, Jonathan Stewart runs up the middle for a nice gain, but as he’s being tackled, he fumbles…. the ball flies into the air and Panthers tight end Ed Dickson is in the right place at the right time to catch the ball in stride..

Dickson runs the rest of the way for the touchdown. 67-yards on the score, Panthers lead 24-10.

The Panthers traded for Jared Allen this week, after Charles Johnson went down with a hamstring injury.
