DUNN, N.C. (WNCN) — Rooms to Go will open its new super center location in Dunn Saturday at 10 a.m., bringing hundreds of jobs to the area.
While driving down I-95 near exit 75, you can’t help but notice the massive rooms to go super store.
The $40 million dollar facility is 1.4 million square feet. It sits on nearly 120 acres.
Sheila Parker of Dunn said, “I feel so proud that they have thought about a little spot in Dunn to put it in.”
The economic impact the super center will bring to Dunn includes the possibility of 400 new jobs.
Michael Grace of Dunn said, “There’s a lot of empty fields around here, a lot of closed businesses and places where there use to be jobs, they aren’t here no more.”
The newly hired employees are mainly from Fayetteville and Dunn.
Wednesday, some of the employees were in training. Others were working to get everything polished for Saturday’s opening.
Sean Babcock, the store manager said, “We’ve made local selections in regards to our sales people, all of which are very qualified and great attitudes.”
The new super center features thousands of furniture options, by top name designers. It also has an on-site distribution center.
For the kids room, there’s a Disney and NFL selection of items. For the rest of the house, you can find sofa’s, beds, dining sets and more.
