RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – The 2015 N.C. State Fair is home to a lot of rides and a lot of food, but there’s one sweet treat that’s been a staple at the fairgrounds for more than 30 years.
Hot Fresh Mini-Donuts have been served at the fairgrounds for 35 years and the booth, run by Terry Kochniarczyk and Doris Drury is still going strong.
This year the couple is giving away stickers with your donut purchase depending on your mini donut-eating experience. First timers get a “I ate my first Mini-Donut” and those who are well-versed in mini donuts get the “Mini-Donut alumni” sticker.
The light and fluffy sweet snacks are still attracting customers new and old. The owners of Hot Fresh Mini-Donuts said that they even have the children of longtime customers coming to get donuts.
