RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – The Highway Patrol is closing the eastbound and westbound exit ramps leading from Wade Avenue onto Blue Ridge Road starting Oct. 23 due to State Fair traffic.
The closure will be in effect:
- Oct. 23 – 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
- Oct. 23 – 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- Oct. 24 – 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol said the exits could be closed at other times depending on the volume of traffic.
Access to Wade Avenue from Blue Ridge Road will still be an option for drivers.
The Highway Patrol said to use Edwards Mill Road exit when traveling on Wade Avenue to access the fairgrounds.
