Some Wake students complain on social media about cold classrooms

Some Wake students say their classrooms are frigid Monday.

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – Some students around Wake County were complaining about cold classrooms Monday as chilly temperatures swept across North Carolina.

At Middle Creek, one student event tagged the Latin Club and tweeted “Frigidi sumus (we are cold) at the Wake County Public Schools Twitter feed.

The tweet from @em_ray5 included a photo of a thermostat showing the temperature as being 43 degrees.

Wake County Schools spokeswoman Lisa Luten said mobile classrooms could be cold but should warm up. She said the temperature at a classroom can vary.
