Nearly 40 players from Raleigh’s Stonewall Kickball league participated in “Drag Ball” on Saturday afternoon, a kickball tournament designed to raise money for various local charities.

Players at the games at Halifax Park were required to dress in a comedic fashion contrary to his/her respective gender identity.

Organizers say the event raised nearly $12,000 — which will be split between the Inter Faith Food Shuttle, the Jamie Kirk Hahn Foundation, Duke Ovarian cancer research and the LGBT Center of Raleigh.
