RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – The N.C. State Fair came to a close Sunday after 11 days and it ended as the second-most attended ever.
This year’s State Fair attracted 1,019,738 people who enjoyed gorgeous weather throughout the 11-day event.
Almost 107,400 people came through the gates on Sunday which was nearly 10,000 people more than the same day in 2014.
This year’s attendance fell short of the all-time record of 1,091,887 by 72,149. The record was set in 2010.
If you missed the State Fair this year, there’s always next year. The N.C. State Fair is scheduled to run from Oct. 13, 2016 through Oct. 23, 2016.
