CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (WNCN) – A man wanted in connection with a violent assault in Chapel Hill was apprehended in Oklahoma, Chapel Hill Police said Wednesday.
Authorities said Kevin Tyler Schuster, 27, was arrested in Canadian County, Oklahoma for possessing a stolen vehicle.
Schuster was wanted on outstanding warrants resulting from an Oct. 24 incident. The assault happened at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Hillview Road. Police said Schuster left the area in a gold 1997 Ford Crown Victoria
Schuster is charged with felony assault by strangulation and felony kidnapping as well as four other charges.
Schuster is awaiting extradition back to North Carolina.
