FAYETTEVILLE, NC (WNCN) — Wednesday marks the one year anniversary that a Fayetteville mother of three was last seen.
Meta Valentine, age 44, was reported missing October 29 2014, after not showing up for Bible study.
Police say there are no new leads in the case.
Police have identified Reginald McDowell, who shares a son with the missing woman, as a person of interest.
Police say McDowell initially cooperated with detectives but he has now left the area.
It’s unclear if police know his location now.
“…we believe he’s still there, but you know if you’re in a large area you can go from place to place in that area, we’re just trying to confirm exact location,” said Michael Ballard, lead Detective Fayetteville Police
McDowell was also convicted of kidnapping Valentine in 1999.
He served more than ten years in prison.
Police are asking for the public’s help in solving this case.
