RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – A place where veterans can get counseling got a new home in Raleigh Wednesday.
A ribbon cutting was held at the new location off Ellstree Lane for the Raleigh Vet Center.
The center provides counseling for veterans and their families. Within a year, the Raleigh Vet Center will serve about 600 veterans. The new spot is equal distance from Raleigh and Durham. Employees hope that change will give more veterans new opportunities to get counseling.
“I think the veterans here deserve to have the best place to come and reserve services. Having a new facility, and a comfortable place where they can receive counseling, I think it is a critical element in providing good quality care,” said Gregory Inman, team leader at Raleigh Vet Center.
