GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) – An East Carolina University student, who painted her car to help find a kidney for her father, is now one step closer to finding a match.
To help her dad find a kidney, Kassandra Klus painted the words, “My Dad Needs A Kidney,” on the back of her car.
Ron Klus has struggled with kidney problems for more than ten years, but not to this degree. Now in stage five renal kidney failure, he needs a transplant, WNCT previously reported.
WNCT reported that nurses are currently working with a potential donor to get Rod Klus a new kidney, however, nothing is set in stone.
“My parents are extremely grateful for the fact that their daughter goes to a school that’s in a community that’s filled with such caring and kind people they can’t stop stressing how much that means to them,” Klus told WNCT.
Kassandra Klus says finding a kidney is only the beginning. Her family still has to come up with the money to pay all of the medical expenses. You can donate to help the Klus family here.
