SILER CITY, N.C. (WNCN) – A 21-year-old man has been charged with murder in the death of Esau Abraham Brenes, who vanished and was later found dead.
Francisco Rivas Galves-Huezo has been charged with first-degree murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon for his role in the death of Brenes, the State Bureau of Investigation said.
The SBI said the location of Galves-Huezo is not known and law enforcement officials are searching for him.
Brenes was reported missing weeks ago and his remains were then located off Siler City Snow Camp Road.
He was last seen in Siler City on Oct. 4 before being reported missing later.
Law enforcement officers searched for Brenes that continued over the following three weeks.
