KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) – The father accused of abducted his 2-year-old daughter and killing his wife has been arrested in Ohio and the girl has been found safe.
Tennessee authorities confirmed late Thursday morning that Tyler Enix, 36, had been arrested. He was wanted by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Knoxville Police Department for first-degree murder.
On Wednesday, his wife Kimberly Enix, 36, was found dead in her apartment.
Neighbors told law enforcement they saw Tyler driving away from the apartment in his wife’s car before she was discovered.
Their daughter, Brooklynne Enix, had been missing since the incident.
An Amber Alert was issued for Brooklynne.
Police were called to a home on Quiet Way in Fountain City to conduct a welfare check on a Kimberly, who didn’t show up to work. Officers entered the home and found Kimberly dead.
